Have you ever wondered how to do something on the computer but were not quite sure where to start or even what software to use, well you are not the only one and your best friend is Google, why? I will show you.
Ok take a common senario, you are trying to make a movie with all your pictures from holiday and would like to add some music then burn it to a DVD but have no idea where to start, well Microsoft have provided you with a nice free bit of software when you bought your computer called "Windows Movie Maker" so for a start there is no need to go and buy some expensive video editing kit that you will probablly never use.
The next question is how do I use it? well I could write a long blog on how you go about creating a movie in Movie Maker or why not try a google search for "Movie Maker Tutorials" in Google, this will give you hundreds of links from all over the internet where people better at writing tutorials than me will show you how to use movie maker, there is even videos on it.
Google will help you find tutorials on eveything from editing video to creating a website or a blog like this one, and the easiest way to search is to ask google the same way you would ask a friend, how do I ???, where can I find??? and so on, after a while why not learn how to properly use google to get better results and guess what the best way to find that is.
The internet is full of great free stuff and software is just one of them, you can basically fill your entire computer from an operating system to full office software and even virus and spyware protection without paying for any of it, try searches on open source or free software and see what you can come up with before you buy anything.
